Maryland, like the rest of the nation, is experiencing a important shortage of special education teachers. But, as I mentioned before, if all you need to have is the credential and NO COLLEGE CREDIT for your time or cash (I will not say operate, mainly because pretty frankly, we did not have to do any work to speak of), then go with the Fortune School of Education.
Somebody in my cohort found out about a way to finish the program in 1 year, known as the Early Completion option, which the State of California needs Project Pipeline to offer, but of course they will under no circumstances voluntarily inform you about it. Basically, if you pass the Praxis series Teaching Foundations Exam (TFE) you can skip to the second year of the program and finish in one particular year.
